Mao Po Tofu

Before you say Filipino Food are yucky, let me first inform you that this is actually a chinese recipe and the recipe is not yucky at all. This time of the year, I'm busy at work so I count on packaged seasonings to lighten my "end of the day". Together with sweet and sour seasoning, and a jar of black bean sauce, I bought a package of the Mao Po Tofu. The instructions were simple and did not call very much for a lot of ingredients. I'd say it was healthy as well. Tofu and ground pork. Try it if you're busy like me and you might want to get used to it (except that these seasonings might be loaded with MSG of course).
Oh, the spiciness too just makes you have it one more time next week.

UY, back to blogging si mrs :D glad to see you posting again! Love mabo tofu at the restaurants too, but haven't had much luck with the mixes. What brand did you use?

I love to try Mapo Tofu, yap, it's more convenient to cook it using mixes.

I like the combination of minced pork and tofu stir fried together. This is one of those food that you can fill your bowl with on top of rice, and sit in front of telly with your jammies and socks on! Super delish. No, it's not yucky at all! :)

I would like to try this sometime when I am in the company of my Pinay friends.

And despite all the negative articles about MSG, I do use such mixes once in a while.

Tofu is one of my favorite staple food...I will definitely try this simple recipes of yours..a little spiciness combination...yummmmm!

I am a tofu freak, Ting, but I never thought the ready-to-mix seasoning could taste good. I'll surely try this why. Oh by the way, they said Japanese women are less prone to menopausal symptoms because they eat a lot of tofu.
